1 Comments:
this is not misstress quickly in the syd/hobt it is in the mediteranean sailing in the Sardinia Cup race series or middle sea race which she won in record time. In 79 she finished 4th behind Condor, Kialoa and Siska in a race that changed sailing for the better. After she was purchased by Bill Whitehouse-vaux in St Thomas in the British Virgin Is.she never returned to Australia to race again.Under her origonal name of Ballyhoo she was on her way Florida to do the Southern Ocean Racing Circuit still owned by Jack Rooklyn and under Captain Stan Darling haveing finished a record crossing from the Canaries to Babados.Prior to that she had sailed from Australia to the U.K to compete in the 77 Fastnet with Stan and John Sheridan in charge.charlie.Y.
